Ways to Support Ice Alaska

As you are probably aware the World Ice Art Championships were cancelled for 2018 as Ice Alaska regroups as a newly organized 501c3 non-profit organization with no paid employees.  After reaching out to the community, the Tanana Valley Fairgrounds, another non-profit organization has offered to help host a bridge event for 9 days in March 2018.  One of our goals has always been to promote artistic and educational endeavors and we will be sponsoring a Youth/Amateur event, pairing up experienced ice carvers with new carvers to help foster the future artists of Ice Sculpting.

We are soliciting funds to help with this event in 2018 and for the future.  Ice has to be harvested and then transported to the fairgrounds, among other needs.  For the future we need to replace chainsaws, lighting, electrical boards, web cameras, etc. that were left behind when we parted ways with D & H Enterprises and the Ice Park. Fortunately, Christmas in Ice of North Pole has graciously offered to let us borrow most of this equipment allowing us to hold the bridge event in March 2018.   Then there is the usual budget of medals, prize money, insurance, lodging, transportation, food, judges, scaffolding, etc. that we need to raise money for.

Thank-you for considering making a donation to Ice Alaska.  Any donation large or small will be appreciated and will be on our web page. As we develop our fund raising efforts, we will be delving into different sponsorships and how we can support and promote these sponsors. The success and longevity of the World Ice Art Championships will be dependent on community support and the help and dedication of our volunteers.  We want to bring back the World Ice Art Championships that Fairbanks, and Alaska can be proud of.
