Fairbanks, Alaska is a relatively small community.* Hotels within the city limits are from 3 miles to 5 miles from the BP World Ice Art Championships venue, the George Horner Ice Art Park. A taxi fare to the Ice Park is from $7 to $10 (one way). Many hotels are on the Fairbanks North Star Borough bus route.

 The bus stop is on the west side of University Avenue about 200 feet south of the Johansen/Geist Road crossing of University Avenue.

It takes 10 minutes to walk it is about 1700 feet to the front gate from the bus stop.
