2015 BP World Ice Art Competition

Friday afternoon , March 6 about 2 PM “Test the Waters”, Fairbank's scuba diving business, and Pat Moodie, with Ice Alaska, will be conducting the second round of their unique partnership experiment.  The fun will happen on the pond to the south of Ice Alaska. Test the Waters' ice divers will take ice sculptures made by Pat under the 30" thick pond ice and move them into position.  There will be a viewing space for spectators to, hopefully, watch the divers under water and also see the sculptures as they float on the underside of the pond ice.  Weather conditions may effect visibility through the ice, but the diving part will happen and is fun to watch in any case.
The Ice Alaska ice park is now open daily till March 29th from 10am to 10pm at 3570 Phillips Field Road, 99709 Fairbanks, AK 99709.
