Welcome graphic

To the New George Horner Ice Park--just one mile west of the former Ice Park; down Phillips Field Road, across Peger Road to the end of West Phillips Field Road. We love the new location!

The 2013 World Ice Art Championships was in its second year at this new location and it was a huge success. There is still a lot of work ahead to continue getting the park built into a world class ice park, but the good news is - - the new park is owned by Ice Alaska and the community.

Volunteers are already working hard on the 2014 ice sculpting event and plans to keep the park open year around, and to host sculpting competitions in other mediums.  Tentative plans include wood sculptures in early summer and to begin the planning for sand sculpting in late summer.  We also hope to introduce snow sculptures in January. Stay tuned as the new park expands.

In the meantime, we at Ice Alaska hope you have an 'ice day!
